Which number comes next? 1, 1, 2, 4, 3, 9, 4, 16, 5 …?

Just another math riddle.

1, 1^2, sqrt(1)+1, 2^2, sqrt(4)+1, 3^2, sqrt(9)+1, 4^2, sqrt(16)+1 …?

On every 2n term is equal to the previous term squared. Every 2n – 1 term, the result is the previous term’s sqrt then added one.

Also, you can consider each two terms as a pair, with the last being a square of the previous term, such as (2,4) then (3,9) then (4,16). The first number always increases by 1 and the second number is the square of the first.

Edit: Forgot to give my answer. The answer is 5^2 = 25

This one’s overly ordinary. as a results of fact the numbers are the squares (in ascending order) of a classic count style of numbers from a million upwards, the final being 5^2, then the subsequent is 6^2. Your answer is as a result C (36). have been given from now on durable ones waiting?

there are 2 sequence:

1.) 1,2,3,4, —-> NEXT IS 5
2.) 1,4,9,16—-> 4-1=3..9-4= 5..16-9=7 so the next number to be subtracted is 9….16+5= 25
3,5,7,25
then the next number would be 5,25

Its simple….Next number will be 25.
How bcz when u look on pattern a second number is square of first number.. so next number will be 25.
