On every 2n term is equal to the previous term squared. Every 2n – 1 term, the result is the previous term’s sqrt then added one.

Also, you can consider each two terms as a pair, with the last being a square of the previous term, such as (2,4) then (3,9) then (4,16). The first number always increases by 1 and the second number is the square of the first.
