Find all polar coordinates of point P = (9, 75°).?

I understand how to do the polar form -> cartesian form and cartesian->polar, but how can you do this with degrees that are not even on the unit circle. I know the placement of 75 degrees is exactly between pi/3 and pi/2. I need help. Can you explain? Thank you.

Answer 1

r = 9

θ = 75°

x = r cos(θ)

= 9 cos(75)

= 2.33

y = 9sin(75)

=8.69
